Standard Talking Machine Model A

The model A was released in 1908 with its characteristic Columbia type speed control. Standard was still in business as late as 1920, selling model A's even though an internal horn model B was introduced in 1911. The Model B was not to replace the model A, but merely expand the model range. The model A has a red iridescent horn. The model A, like the model AA has a large spindle, and will only play "Standard" records.
